Meet the Bellevue Team Behind DryMark Restoration Bellevue

The crew that shows up at your door in Bellevue isn’t a rotating roster of subcontractors. These are the same technicians who dried out the crawl space on 148th Avenue last winter and the same coordinator who stayed on the line with a Mercer Island adjuster until 11 p.m. to get a sewage backup claim documented. What ties them together is simple: they work under The Haven Standard, and they know that a written price before work starts and a photo record when they leave are not perks. They’re the baseline.

Our People

Alicia Brennan, Owner

I started DryMark Restoration Bellevue in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster, and I built this company around the documentation gap that costs homeowners their claims. I’d seen too many Bellevue residents get partial denials because a crew forgot to photograph pre-existing damage or because an estimate was verbal and the carrier called it hearsay. The Haven Standard was my answer: written price before work begins, photo record on every visit, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise signed by both parties. I still review every scope before it goes out, and I still take calls at odd hours when an adjuster needs moisture logs explained in plain English. Outside of work, I restore vintage furniture badly and hike the Cougar Mountain trails competently.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been running water damage mitigation crews in King County for fourteen years, and he’s the technician we send when a Bellevue homeowner calls at 2 a.m. with water moving through a finished basement. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), which means he can read a psychrometric chart, the tool that maps temperature and humidity to determine exactly when building materials reach dry standard, and explain it to you without making your eyes cross. Marcus specializes in hardwood floor rescue using Injectidry mat systems, which pull moisture from beneath planks without tearing them out. He keeps a waterproof notebook in his truck where he sketches floor plans from memory during walkthroughs, a habit from his years as a carpenter before he moved into restoration.

Dana K., Senior Installer

Dana handles the reconstruction side of our Bellevue jobs, the phase that starts once drying is complete and ends when you can’t tell we were ever there. She’s certified through the RIA in structural repair and has particular expertise in matching Pacific Northwest millwork, the fir and cedar trim common in Bellevue homes built between 1960 and 1990. Dana’s the one who notices that your baseboard was originally cut with a specific coping joint and replicates it rather than replacing the whole run. She grew up in Renton and still lives there with two dogs who have no respect for her professional opinion on carpet selection. Her pet peeve is contractors who use “level” and “plumb” interchangeably, and she will correct them.

James R., Service Coordinator

James is the voice you hear when you call our Bellevue line at midnight on a Saturday, because we don’t do voicemail trees on emergency lines. He’s been with DryMark since 2017 and has a former adjuster’s eye for what a claim file needs to move from pending to paid. James coordinates directly with carriers, documents photo uploads to XactAnalysis, and makes sure your written scope reaches you before the crew loads equipment. He’s the one who caught that a competitor’s estimate for a Crossroads condo had omitted HEPA air scrubbing during mold remediation, a line item that would have become a change order mid-job. James brews aggressively hoppy beer in his garage in Kirkland and brings it to company barbecues despite polite requests that he stop.

Elena V., Apprentice Technician

Elena joined us in 2023 after completing the restoration program at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, and she’s working toward her IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician certification this year. She assists on water and fire jobs across Bellevue and the Eastside, with a growing specialty in content cleaning, the process of restoring personal belongings rather than replacing them. Elena has a particular knack for electronics recovery and has successfully restored laptops and gaming systems from smoke-damaged homes in the Bridle Trails area. She asks more questions than the rest of the crew combined, which is exactly what we want from someone who’ll be writing scopes of her own soon. On weekends she volunteers with a local animal rescue and has fostered fourteen cats, three of whom she failed to rehome because they “had opinions.”

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard applies whether you’re in Bellevue, working with our crew, or anywhere else in our network. It means the same written price before work begins, the same photo documentation on every visit, the same 365-Day Done Right Promise signed and dated. Our Bellevue technicians are background-checked, uniformed, and named on your scope before they arrive. The equipment we deploy, Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers, Phoenix air movers, XPOWER HEPA scrubbers, B-Air drying systems, and Injectidry specialty drying rigs, is documented to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, and the daily moisture logs we produce are formatted for direct insurance submission. If you have a competitor’s written estimate, we’ll review it at no charge under our Free Second Opinion policy. The standard doesn’t change because the zip code does.
